This 40 bed Aged Care Facility is passionate about providing experienced, flexible and innovative care solutions to ensure residents are comfortable and that their current and future care needs are met. An exciting opportunity has become available for experienced and passionate Leisure & Lifestyle Officer who is looking to join a supportive team and make a positive impact on the lives of their residents.

Your Responsibilities
- Conduct and review assessments of each resident’s interests, preferences and life history to develop personalised lifestyle plans that support meaningful engagement and overall wellbeing
- Deliver a variety of group and individual activities, including exercise, creative programs, social events and outings, designed to encourage participation and build a sense of connection within the home
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, allied health professionals and families to ensure activities are aligned with individual care plans, health needs and personal goals, while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment
- Build genuine relationships with residents and their families, taking the time to understand their backgrounds, values and preferences to enhance engagement and trust
- Support and respect residents in maintaining their cultural, religious, intellectual, physical and social beliefs as part of their daily lives
- Monitor participation and outcomes, maintaining accurate documentation and using feedback to regularly review and improve lifestyle programs in line with regulatory requirements
- Contribute to ongoing care plan reviews by evaluating lifestyle plans and liaising with residents, families and the broader care team to ensure they remain relevant and effective
Required Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years’ experience working Leisure and Lifestyle within Aged Care in Australia
- Bachelor of Diversional Therapy – Desirable
- Focused on improving quality of life of the residents
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills & flexibility
- High level of computer literacy and documentation skills
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Unrestricted Current Driver’s Licence
- Rights to work in Australia
