Compliance Manager

• Lead safety & compliance across mine and village operations
• Senior leadership | SHMS oversight | SSE Ticket qualified
• Permanent full-time | DIDO 5/2 roster | Bowen Basin based

This full-time role is accountable for ensuring contractors meet all Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) requirements at both the Accommodation Village and Mine operations. This role will have ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safety and health of all employees, contractors, and visitors. The role is a blend of strategic leadership, compliance governance, and operational oversight, fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring the highest standards of workplace health, safety, and compliance are maintained.

About You

• Minimum 5 years in senior safety, compliance, or operational leadership roles.
• SSE qualification as required under the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act.
• Demonstrated experience in SHMS development, implementation, and auditing.
• Strong understanding of contractor management in high-risk industries.
• Proven ability to lead and influence teams in a compliance-focused environment.
• Tertiary qualification in safety, engineering, or related discipline is desirable
• Experience in mining or resources sector village/facilities management is an advantage.
• Lead Auditor qualification is also highly desirable.

This is a full-time permanent role ideally suited to someone living in or around the Bowen Basin/Mackay area to Drive In/Drive Out on a 5/2 roster.
