Our client, a well-established and growing national leader in the forklift and access equipment industry , is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Field Customer Service Representative to join their team based in Melbourne’s south-east.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell planned maintenance programs (PMPs), servicing, and repairs
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Conduct on-site equipment inspections , identifying issues and opportunities
- Prepare and follow up on repair and service quotations
- Proactively grow your customer base through outbound activity and cold calling
- Act as the key point of contact for customer queries and service needs
- Work closely with internal service teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Identify opportunities to increase service revenue and customer retention
Your Profile
We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
You will bring:
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, self-driven approach to business development and sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Confidence working autonomously in a field-based role
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office / CRM systems)
Mechanical aptitude or exposure to equipment is highly regarded—but not essential
This role is ideal for candidates from a mix of service, sales, and technical environments , such as:
- Field Service Representatives / Service Advisors (automotive, equipment, industrial)
- Account Managers or Territory Sales Reps (B2B services, maintenance, or trade industries)
- Internal Sales or Customer Service professionals looking to move into a field role
- Equipment hire, construction, or industrial service backgrounds
- Technicians or tradespeople wanting to transition into a customer-facing, commercial role
- Experience within forklifts, access equipment, plant hire, automotive, or heavy equipment industries will be highly advantageous
- Additional 5 days anniversary leave on top of annual leave
