The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and results driven Sales & Business Development representative to join the Abbey Group team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growth focused sales role within a well-established manufacturing business.

You will be responsible for engaging our existing client list and developing generating new business, growing our client base, and expanding opportunities across our very broad product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across our broad range of custom manufactured items including wide format digital printing and book binding.
  • Develop and execute a proactive sales strategy to build and grow a strong pipeline of prospective clients
  • Research market trends our competitor’s activity, and emerging opportunities to inform business development efforts
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective clients

Account Management & Growth

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities to expand product and service uptake
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing knowledgeable guidance on luxury product solutions
  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and swift resolution of any issues
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets for both new and existing accounts

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with the production and operations teams to ensure client expectations are met and projects are delivered on time
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity, pipeline, and client interactions in our CRM
  • Contribute to our regular sales forecasts and performance reports and sales meetings.
  • Represent Abbey Group at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions as required

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable

  • Established industry network or client relationships within relevant market segments
  • Familiarity with Australian print and packaging market landscape
