PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Lead PWC’s Power Service Power Engineering team to deliver on the responsibilities in PWC’s capital augmentation and connection
expenditure programs. Manage Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Demand Side Management (DSM) strategies and influence the
direction of small scale renewables, embedded micro grids, electric vehicles, and other emerging opportunities. Ensure PWC’s ongoing
development, management and compliance to the Northern Territory National Electricity Rules (NT NER), relevant legislation and regulatory
bodies for Basic and Negotiated connections.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Result Area
• Lead the strategic direction of the Power Services Power Engineering section in alignment with the strategic framework of the
organisation. Ensure outcomes deliver on Power and Water Corporation’s purpose, vision, goals and applicable initiatives in the strategic
framework.
- Manage the Power Engineering budgets, resources and cost recovery mechanisms to deliver outcomes consistent with our strategic
framework in compliance with the NT NER.
- Manage Power and Water’s connection process to ensure the delivery of design and construction of extensions and augmentations to
the networks to meet customers’ needs in a timely and cost-effective manner compliant with the NT NER.
- Manage Power and Water’s Distributed Energy Resources strategy and connection process to meet the customers’ needs compliant with
the NT NER in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Manage the strategic direction of Power and Water’s Future Networks’ strategy, including demand management, driving innovation and
customer outcomes and operating efficiency within the compliance and funding framework of the NT NER
- Manage Power and Water’s relationship with the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) and other stakeholders for all connection related
matters. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of connection related policies, Investment proposals, Annual Information Notices,
information requests, connection specifications, connection safety compliance and audits.
- Manage Power and Water’s engagement with customers’ and external industry stakeholders in connection related matters to improve
Power and Water’s public standing.
- Manage and deliver on Power Engineering’s responsibilities as an engineering design activity owner in the Power Services Capital
delivery program.
- Provide engineering mentorship to professionals to enhance Power Service’s engineering capability in network design, connection and
future networks technology related areas.
