About The Opportunity
This role has become available as a result of an internal career development opportunity within our team.
As our Service Support Officer, you'll play a key role in creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone who visits – whether it’s participants, carers, families or service partners.
You’ll be the friendly face as community members visit the service and the calm voice on the phone, helping people feel respected and at ease from the moment they reach out. You'll also support the day-to-day running of the service; keeping things organised and well-coordinated so that, together, the team are better equipped to focus on delivering person-centred care.

About You
You’re someone who leads with empathy, warmth and respect. Whether you’re welcoming someone in person or helping over the phone, you know how to create a calm and respectful space – especially for people who may be reaching out during a vulnerable time.
You’re organised, flexible, and confident managing a range of tasks while keeping people at the centre of your work. You work well both independently and as part of a team, and you’re the kind of person who notices the small things that help others feel supported.
To be successful in this role, you rill bring:
- Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in an administration/data entry support role, ideally in a similar industry.
- Experience in a participant focused or customer facing role
- Ability to provide a warm, welcoming, and empathic experience for participants
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to undertake
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module – ‘Quality Safety and You’ (free online course)
About The Mental Health And Wellbeing Local
Working together in Mildura, Wellways, Mildura Base Public Hospital, Mallee District Aboriginal Services, and Sunraysia Community Health Services are offering easier access to care and support closer to home for people aged 26 years and over who are experiencing mental health concerns – including people with co-occurring alcohol and drug support and care needs and their family, carers, and supporters.
