Project Manager

CELOTTI Workforce is currently seeking an experienced
Project Manager for a well-established commercial construction company based in Darwin, NT.
This position is responsible for the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from award through to completion and handover. The role will oversee project planning, financial performance, subcontractor management, client relationships, safety compliance, and overall project delivery.
Projects range from commercial fit-outs through to new build construction projects valued up to $20 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from contract award through to practical completion and defects liability period
- Lead project delivery teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, forecasts, and delivery schedules
- Manage project financials including cost tracking, forecasting, variations, claims, and cost-to-complete reporting
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Administer head contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and project documentation
- Manage procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout project delivery
- Review drawings, specifications, and design documentation to ensure constructability and compliance
- Lead project meetings, toolbox talks, and progress reporting
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, environmental, and company requirements
- Manage project close-out activities including defects management, manuals, warranties, and final documentation
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction
- Demonstrated experience delivering Design & Construct (D&C) projects
- Strong understanding of commercial building methodologies and construction processes
- Proven experience managing projects valued between $500k and $20 million
- Strong contract administration and commercial management capability
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, variations, and subcontractor claims
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Proficient with project management and reporting systems
Desired Qualifications
- Trade qualification (Carpentry highly regarded)
- Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering, or related discipline
- White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
