You'll join the legal team behind Australia's leading end-of-life law firm, where complex estate work is the whole business, not a sideline to litigation.

You'll advise on genuinely interesting matters, work with tools built specifically for you, and progress on the quality of your work rather than the hours on a timesheet.

One lawyer here made Principal in two years.

And the location? Wherever you want it to be!.

This is a true remote role, built around your life rather than a postcode.

That being said the firm have luxury offices in Sydney, for those of you who prefer to have an office base!

What's in it for you

  • Fully remote across Australia, work from anywhere, with a Sydney office available if you ever want it.
  • $130k–$170k base plus equity, with progression that's merit-based and genuinely fast - one lawyer reached Principal in two years.
  • No billable hours and no billing targets , you're measured on your work, not the clock.
  • Complex, high-level estate work , testamentary trusts, structuring and probate, not a conveyor belt of standard wills.
  • In-house legal tech built around the lawyers, so when something's clunky the engineers fix it rather than you working around it.
  • Free GP and psychology telehealth consults, with specialist referrals as needed, plus flexibility on bonuses and perks for the right person.

What you'll do

You'll lead complex estate planning consultations and probate matters across all Australian jurisdictions, advising families on testamentary trust wills and complex structures, and guiding them through sensitive decisions with empathy and sound judgement.

You'll also review and oversee the work of junior lawyers, paralegals and virtual legal assistants, and work directly with the product and engineering teams shaping the tools you use every day.

No partnership politics. No chasing the next billable minute. Just high-level estate work backed by proper support.

What you'll need

  • At least 4 years' PQE in estate planning and/or estate administration, with experience on complex estates.
  • Admission in Australia with a current practising certificate, and an LLB or JD.
  • Clear, empathetic communication — you'll help clients make confident decisions on sensitive, complex matters.

About the firm

We are so excited to be partnering with the legal practice behind Australia's leading end-of-life platform, and we're rebuilding how Australians plan and protect their estates.

They don't do billable hours and we don't measure people on timesheets, we focus on expert advice, complex work and a genuinely modern way of practising law.

They are growing fast, with new products and a new arm of the business launching this year, and the lawyers sit at the centre of that.

If you want autonomy, real progression and the freedom to work from anywhere, this is it.
