M&A and Strategy Manager

The Company

Highbury Executive has been engaged by a Venture Capital backed scale up, looking for an M&A and Strategy Manager as they embark on the next phase of their growth.

They are seeking a commercially astute and analytically driven finance professional to take on a high impact role spanning strategy, corporate development, and financial planning, with direct exposure to executive leadership and a genuine seat at the table.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate development initiatives, evaluate M&A opportunities, assess strategic partnerships, and support capital raising activities from initial analysis through to execution.
• Deliver executive level financial insight, present strategic analysis and recommendations directly to C-suite and board stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and actionable direction.
• Optimise unit economics, identify and pursue opportunities to improve CAC, LTV, and contribution margins across product lines, driving sustainable commercial performance.
• Drive multi year financial planning and business forecasts, develop and maintain sophisticated financial models that underpin executive decision making and shape board level presentations.
• Partner across the business and beyond, collaborate with business unit leaders on growth initiatives such as new product launches and market expansion, while supporting investor relations and due diligence.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience across capital markets, strategy consulting, corporate finance, or business development.
• Strong financial modelling, advanced Excel, integrated financial statements, valuation techniques, and scenario planning.
• Relevant postgraduate credentials (CA, CPA, CFA, or comparable qualification).
• Commercially driven, a natural ability to translate numbers into narrative and financial analysis into business strategy.
• Polished communicator, experienced engaging and influencing at the most senior levels, including executive teams and boards.
• High growth industry background, proven experience in technology businesses is also highly favourable. We are looking for someone who will thrive in an unstructured environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to help grow the business into new markets.
