The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting year-end reporting, audit preparation, and financial statement delivery. Working closely with the broader finance team and external advisors, you will take ownership of complex balance sheet reconciliations, coordinate audit requirements, and assist with statutory reporting activities. This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and contributing from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities
• Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate audit preparation and manage external audit requests
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting workpapers
• Support statutory reporting and compliance requirements
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to meet reporting deadlines
• Assist with process improvements and finance-related projects
• Provide support to the Financial Controller across key finance initiatives

Skills & Experience

• CA or CPA qualified
• Proven experience in a Senior Financial Accountant or Financial Accountant position
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
• Demonstrated experience supporting external audits and year-end reporting processes
• Advanced balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting experience
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across finance and operational teams
• Experience within other complex operational environments will be highly regarded
