Life at Steadfast

Steadfast is built on a simple belief: none of us are as good as all of us. It shapes how we work, how we support our brokers and partners, and how we show up for each other every day.

Our Together values guide everything we do, we listen, we collaborate, we include, and we back each other to succeed. As Australia’s largest general insurance broker network, we help businesses and communities feel supported, protected and confident in the moments that matter. When you join Steadfast, you become part of a team where your ideas are welcomed, your wellbeing matters, and your growth is genuinely encouraged.

Your new role at Steadfast

We are looking for a Risk & Compliance Analyst who enjoys solving problems, creating clarity and supporting others, and who brings curiosity, care and a collaborative mindset to their work. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or recent graduate to build foundational capability within a supportive and evolving risk and compliance function.

In this role, you will work closely with the Risk & Compliance team as well as stakeholders across the business to strengthen how we identify, assess and manage risk, and ensure we meet our regulatory obligations. You will play an important role in maintaining core processes, supporting reporting and governance activities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of frameworks, tools and systems.

What Your Days May Look Like

You may start your morning checking in with the Risk & Compliance team, reviewing priorities and monitoring any emerging risks or compliance matters. You might be coordinating or supporting a risk workshop, helping teams identify and assess risks with structure and clarity.

By midday, you could be deep in analysis, reviewing risk data, updating registers, or preparing reporting packs that support governance forums and leadership decision-making.

In the afternoon, you might be partnering with stakeholders across the business to refine processes, support compliance activities, or assist with incident or breach management.

No two days look the same, but every day you will be contributing to work that has real impact across our network and the communities we support.

The work you will lead and shape

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Create: Contribute to frameworks, policies, tools, and reporting that strengthen risk and compliance practices
  • Collaborate: Work closely with Line 1 and Line 3 teams to support consistent outcomes
  • Challenge: Ask thoughtful questions and support stakeholders
  • Deliver: Support reporting, monitoring, reviews, and remediation tracking
  • Support: Provide guidance across risk and compliance processes

You may also:

  • Assist in developing and enhancing risk and compliance frameworks, policies and supporting tools
  • Maintain risk and compliance registers, systems and documentation to ensure accuracy and audit readiness
  • Build capability across the business by supporting stakeholders with risk and compliance processes and guidance
  • Lead or support discrete initiatives such as risk assessments, control testing, or compliance reviews
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and governance materials for leadership and Board or Committee forums
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities by identifying trends, gaps and opportunities to uplift processes and controls

What You Will Bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business, Commerce, Law, Finance or similar)
  • Recent graduate
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • High attention to detail and integrity

If you are not sure you meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply, we value potential and diverse experiences.
