ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Manager - Analytics & Insights plays a key leadership role in lifting Cricket Australia’s data and reporting game, helping the organisation move from instinct to insight. This role is focused on embedding a strong, data-driven mindset across the business, ensuring the right insights are delivered at the right time to inform both on-field and off-field decisions. By championing advanced analytics and modern technologies, the role enables teams to unlock the full value of their data, align to strategic priorities, and innovate in how information is used to drive performance and long-term success.
Build and coach a high-performing analytics team, developing capability across advanced analytics, machine learning, and data visualisation
Partner across the business to identify opportunities where analytics can unlock value, influence strategy, and create a competitive edge
Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights by strengthening reporting frameworks and improving how information is shared across stakeholders
Champion a data-driven culture by measuring impact, tracking performance, and clearly communicating the value of analytics initiatives
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor or master’s degree) in Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
Minimum of 8+ years experience working in analytics or related field, along with experience managing a team of analytics professionals
Deep expertise in analytics, data visualisation, and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
Strong understanding of advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning, statistical modelling, and data mining
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, with experience working across complex data environments
Proven ability to build, lead, and coach high-performing analytics teams, creating a culture of curiosity, growth, and continuous improvement
Experience partnering cross-functionally with business leaders, technology teams, and executives to deliver meaningful outcomes
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and influence decision-making at all levels
