About the role

As a Clinical Support Officer, you will provide timely and accurate administrative support to nursing, medical and allied health teams. Working closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the ward or unit.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating administrative and clerical support functions
  • Managing data entry, reporting and records management
  • Assisting with rostering, recruitment and workforce administration
  • Supporting purchasing and supply coordination
  • Organising meetings, schedules, travel and accommodation
  • Liaising with staff, suppliers and support services
  • Assisting clinical teams with documentation and patient-related administration

About you

We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy team environment and brings:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and database systems
  • A professional, customer-focused approach
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A willingness to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration (or equivalent) if not already held
