About The Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Leasing Manager to join a high-performing residential property team in Port Macquarie. This permanent full-time position offers a unique blend of leasing leadership and property management exposure, making it ideal for someone looking to further develop their real estate career.

You will take ownership of leasing activities across a residential portfolio while supporting Property Managers with day-to-day operations. As you develop within the role, you will progressively assume responsibility for your own property portfolio, creating a clear pathway towards a Property Manager position.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 + Superannuation

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential leasing activities from enquiry through to tenancy commencement.
  • Conduct open homes, private inspections and prospective tenant viewings.
  • Coordinate tenant application assessments, reference checks and lease documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants and prospective renters.
  • Support Property Managers with the day-to-day management of residential properties.
  • Assist with routine inspections, entry condition reports and final inspections.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and liaise with contractors and service providers.
  • Assist with lease renewals, rent reviews and tenancy administration.
  • Monitor vacancy levels and implement strategies to minimise downtime between tenancies.
  • Prepare property marketing materials and manage online rental listings.
  • Maintain accurate records within property management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with residential tenancy legislation and agency procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement.
  • Progressively assume responsibility for managing your own residential property portfolio.

About You

  • Previous experience in residential property management or leasing is essential.
  • Current NSW Certificate of Registration or Real Estate Licence.
  • Valid Australian Driver Licence.
  • Strong understanding of residential leasing and tenancy management processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Experience using property management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A proactive approach and genuine interest in developing a long-term career in property management.
  • Desire to progress into managing your own residential portfolio.
