Status: 1 x Permanent full-time position (76 hours per fortnight) & 4 x Permanent part-time positions (56 hours per fortnight)

Salary: From $68,230 per annum pro rata + 12% superannuation + appropriate shift allowances

We currently have multiple opportunities for suitably experienced Plant Operator & Multi-Skilled Workers to join our Depot services team in Maroubra.

The successful candidates will be a part of the City Cleansing team required to undertake a range of waste and cleansing activities across Randwick’s LGA, including mechanical street and footpath sweeping, public litter bin servicing, trade waste collection, manual cleaning, pressure washing, and beach cleaning services.

A commitment to workplace safety is fundamental as well as providing superior customer service to promote a positive image of Council. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly advantageous.

  • Demonstrated experience in working in a team
  • Class HR or MR driver’s licence or relevant other certified qualifications
  • A current WHS General Construction Induction (White) card
  • Experience in dealing with members of the public
  • An ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • A willingness to comply with all Council’s policies and procedures

Some Of The Things You Will Do Are

  • Drive and operate a range of Council vehicles and plant, including compactor trucks, utility vehicles, mechanical road and footpath sweepers, and associated city cleansing equipment.
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision, while also being able to work in a team environment
  • Perform all activities in accordance with Council’s Safe Work Method Statements
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, industrial and Council policy requirements and standards in the areas of Equal Employment Opportunity; Work, Health and Safety and Rehabilitation; and environmental protection.
  • Exercise all delegated responsibilities in a diligent manner
