What you'll be doing

To provide management and clinical leadership to the team / unit and ensure the provision of appropriate, well planned and coordinated services to clients that reflect current standards of nursing practices and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures

About You

You present yourself as a clinician who brings both professional credibility and grounded leadership to every environment you step into. You hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and you carry that responsibility with a clear sense of purpose. Your experience shows in the way you navigate operational and clinical demands, coordinating ward and unit activities so patients receive safe, consistent and thoughtful care. You understand how a service runs, not just from the bedside but from the broader operational view that keeps a unit functioning smoothly.

You take ownership of the human, physical and financial resources entrusted to you, ensuring they’re used wisely and effectively. You balance safety, efficiency and compassion, always keeping patient outcomes at the centre of your decisions. Within a multidisciplinary environment, you don’t just participate — you lead. You know how to guide a nursing team with clarity and steadiness, fostering collaboration and supporting others to perform at their best.

Your communication style strengthens your leadership. You write with precision, speak with confidence and listen with intent, adapting your approach to suit the situation and the people around you. You’re equally comfortable navigating digital systems, drawing on strong computer literacy and the ability to use a range of applications to support clinical and administrative work.

Overall, you come across as someone who blends clinical expertise with operational insight, someone who leads with integrity and supports a team with both competence and care.
