About the role

Join the Murrumbidgee Local Health District team as an Occupational Therapist based in Griffith, working in our Emergency Short Stay unit, Orthopaedic Unit or casually across a range of clinical settings. Open to both early career (Level 1) and experienced (Level 2) clinicians, you'll deliver evidence-based assessments and treatment plans while working collaboratively with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

With flexibility across weekends, outreach, and virtual care, you'll have access to clinical supervision and professional development, while making a genuine difference to patients and communities across regional NSW.

Positions on Offer:

  • Emergency Short Stay Unit - Permanent Part Time – 6 hours per week

  • Orthopaedic Unit - Permanent Part Time – 6 hours per week (Incentives Offered – Rural Workforce Health Incentive Scheme*)

  • General OT team working across various areas - Casual

As the Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Deliver comprehensive OT assessments and treatment plans across a range of clinical areas, ensuring patient-centred, evidence-based care within professional and ethical guidelines.

  • Collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient functional outcomes and facilitate safe, timely discharge from the service.

  • Actively contribute to professional growth and service improvement through participation in clinical supervision, mandatory training, and quality improvement activities.

Our ideal candidate will

  • Qualified and registered OT with a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration

  • Adaptable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently across varied settings including emergency, outreach, and virtual care, while knowing when to seek supervision and support.
