About the Role

The International Program Development Lead – VU TAFE is responsible for identifying, developing and advancing international education opportunities across VU TAFE. The role leads strategic market analysis, program feasibility assessment and partnership development to grow international market share across ELICOS, Foundation Programs, Higher Education Diplomas and Vocational Qualifications.

The position works collaboratively across VU TAFE, VU Global, VU Higher Education (HE) Colleges and external partners to deliver evidence-based recommendations and actionable pathways for sustainable international growth.

This role involves building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to support the University’s international strategy and objectives. Effective stakeholder engagement is critical to ensuring alignment, quality outcomes, and the successful delivery of international initiatives.

Position Key Duties

  • Identify barriers to international growth, including admissions processes, pricing, program duration and delivery models

  • Provide recommendations to address structural and operational constraints

  • Provide expert advice on international marketing and recruitment materials to ensure they accurately reflect program offerings, pathways, compliance requirements and agreed market positioning.

  • Identify and scope transnational education (TNE) opportunities

Position Details

  • Classification: Senior Educator 3
  • Salary: $129,129 pro rata
  • Employment Type: Fixed Term (18 Months)
  • Hours per Week: 22.8 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
  • Location: City Tower

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Bring a background in international education, compliance, market analysis or global partnerships, with experience navigating ASQA/TEQSA/ESOS frameworks and international student pathways.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, cultural intelligence and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset that aligns with a collaborative, student‑centred team culture.
  • Contribute to shape VU TAFE’s international education strategy and influence high‑impact global growth initiatives.
  • Bring broad, stimulating scope across market analysis, compliance, pathways, visas, migration and transnational education.
  • Bring strong partnership‑building potential with industry, global institutions, government and migration stakeholders.
  • Make meaningful contribution to improving international student experience, employability and long‑term outcomes
