As a Talent & Resourcing Officer, you will play an important role in supporting hiring managers and the organisation to attract and source our most important resource – our people!
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Talent & Resourcing Officer to join our HR Services team.
What You Will Do
The Talent & Resourcing Officer supports Council's strategic direction by supporting hiring managers to attract, source, and select qualified candidates who meet the current and future workforce needs of Council.
Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, candidates, recruitment agencies, and the broader People and Organisational Performance team, you will help deliver a seamless and efficient recruitment experience while ensuring compliance with relevant employment legislation, policies, and best-practice recruitment standards.
You will contribute to building a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing workforce through effective recruitment strategies, strong stakeholder relationships, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
What We Are Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as Certificate IV Human Resources or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment or a related HR role, ideally within local government or the public sector, with a strong understanding of HR policies, best practices, and relevant legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in job advertising, application screening, shortlisting, scheduling of interviews, processing pre-employment checks (Drug & Alcohol, Functional Assessments, NCCC, working rights etc).
- Demonstrated skills in preparing correspondence, report writing, research and data analysis, using and applying analytical skills and questioning, with a high focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- High level of computer skills encompassing Microsoft Suite and Human Resources Information Systems.
