Contract type: Full time

An opportunity has become available for a financially literate Strategy Analyst to join a high-performing technology and transformation team within a major infrastructure organisation supporting Australia’s green-energy future.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, finance and transformation. You'll support major investment decisions, contribute to multi-million dollar funding submissions, and help shape enterprise technology strategy, including emerging areas such as Data & AI.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in management consulting, strategy, corporate finance, transaction services, restructuring, or a similar analytical environment who is looking to move into an in-house strategy role.

The Opportunity

Over the next 6-12 months, your primary focus will be supporting a major funding submission for enterprise-wide digital transformation activities, while also contributing to domain-level technology strategy initiatives. You'll work directly with senior leaders to develop strategic recommendations, analyse investment options, build business cases, and communicate insights that influence executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and refresh of enterprise and domain-level technology strategies
  • Contribute to major regulatory and investment submissions
  • Build financial models, cost analyses and scenario assessments to support strategic decisions
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases and leadership papers
  • Engage stakeholders across technology, finance and business functions to gather insights and requirements
  • Translate complex information into clear, concise recommendations
  • Support planning and prioritisation across a large technology investment portfolio
  • Contribute to Data & AI strategy initiatives and transformation programs
  • Monitor strategic initiatives and provide reporting and decision-support analysis

About You

You are naturally curious, commercially minded, and able to connect analysis with strategic outcomes.

You will likely bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in a strategy, consulting or analytical role
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capability
  • Experience working directly with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Strong Excel capability and financial analysis skills
  • Ability to structure ambiguity and develop practical recommendations
  • Strong written communication and executive reporting skills
  • Experience developing business cases, strategic plans or investment analyses

Why Apply?

  • Influence major technology and transformation investment decisions
  • Work on meaningful initiatives supporting Australia's energy transition
  • Exposure to Data & AI strategy and emerging technology priorities
  • Competitive package including 16.5% superannuation
  • 9-day fortnight and strong work-life balance
  • Long-term career growth within a large and evolving organisation

If you're looking to move beyond analysis and play a more strategic role where your recommendations genuinely influence outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
