Trainee Printer & Photocopier Technician (Field Service)

Requirements: Current Valid Manual Driver’s Licence (Essential)

The Photocopier Man is a growing managed print service business supporting clients across Brisbane and South East Queensland. We are looking to recruit a reliable, practical, and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Technician. We prefer to train our staff from scratch, so no prior photocopier experience is required!

About the Role & Physical Requirements: This is a highly active, hands-on field service role. You will be trained to service, repair, and install commercial digital printers.

Commercial printers are heavy, and deliveries are a core part of this role.

You must be physically fit, strong, and highly safety-conscious.

Regular tasks will include:

• Safely loading, unloading, and manoeuvring heavy printing machinery.
• Operating specialised delivery equipment, including an electric stair-lifter to move machines up and down multi-story client sites.
• Attending client sites across Brisbane, navigating office environments professionally.
• Learning to diagnose mechanical and basic IT/software faults.

Who You Are: This role is ideal for a mature-minded individual, a career-changer, or a trade assistant looking to transition into a specialised technical trade.

* Physically Capable: Confident and capable of safely performing heavy lifting and equipment relocation.

* Mechanically & IT Minded: You enjoy troubleshooting, using tools, and have a solid confidence with computers/networks.

* Licensed: You hold a current full manual driver’s licence (this is non-negotiable).

* Reliable & Professional: Punctual, clear communicator, and comfortable dealing directly with business clients.
