Workers Lifestyle Group is entering an exciting period of growth, and we are looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant who wants to build their career with us.

With our established Blacktown venue, community-focused Sports Club, and a site positioned beside the new Western Sydney International Airport, this is a rare opportunity to join a club group with strong foundations and significant future potential.

About the Role

Based at our main Blacktown site, this hands-on role sits within a fast-paced, high-volume cash environment and supports daily finance operations, reconciliations and month-end activity. It is suited to someone with 2–3 years’ experience who enjoys accuracy, ownership and being close to the detail.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a practical, detail-focused finance professional who is confident with routine accounting tasks, comfortable working at pace, and ready to step up as the business grows. The right person will be reliable, curious, proactive and able to build strong working relationships across finance, venues and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete daily bank, cash and venue reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
  • Support month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayment and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with accounts payable, supplier reconciliations, payment, reporting and analysis.·
  • Maintain accurate records and support strong controls across cash and banking processes.
  • Work closely with the venue, operations and finance stakeholders, supporting broader finance tasks as required.

About You

  • 2–3 years’ experience in an Accountant, Finance Officer or similar role.
  • Accounting, Business or related qualification.
  • Experience in high-volume cash environments, ideally within hospitality or clubs.
  • Strong reconciliation, accounts payable, month-end and reporting capability.
  • Confident Excel and financial systems skills.
  • A hands-on, dependable and proactive approach, with clear communication and the ability to manage deadlines.
