About the Opportunity

We’re seeking experienced ED Registered Nurses to take on short‑term contracts at Launceston General Hospital. These roles place you at the heart of fast‑paced ED environments where your clinical expertise and adaptability truly matter.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Triage & assessment of patients with acute and emergency presentations
• Deliver safe, timely, high‑quality care in dynamic ED settings
• Respond to trauma and resuscitation scenarios
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical guidelines
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety and infection‑control standards
• Provide patient education and reassurance during high‑stress situations

What You’ll Need

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years’ recent ED experience
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
• Full Australian working rights
• Competence in Triage, Resuscitation, and Cannulation
• Strong clinical judgement and confidence working in new environments
