About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician / Senior Architectural Technician to join our team.
Working closely with Project Leads and Architects, you will lead the preparation and coordination of architectural documentation packages across a range of projects. You will play a key role in consultant coordination, BIM integration and technical delivery, ensuring documentation is accurate, coordinated and delivered to a high standard.
This role requires a technically capable professional who can work collaboratively with internal teams, external consultants and joint venture partners to support successful project outcomes from design through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of coordinated architectural documentation packages.
- Develop, manage and maintain project BIM models using Revit.
- Coordinate documentation with structural, civil, building services, landscape and other consultant disciplines.
- Liaise with external consultants, architects and joint venture partners to coordinate project documentation.
- Undertake BIM coordination and clash detection to identify and resolve design conflicts.
- Apply the National Construction Code, relevant Australian Standards and best-practice construction detailing.
- Provide technical advice and Revit support to project teams.
- Contribute to documentation quality, technical standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support project teams during construction through shop drawing reviews, documentation updates and technical advice.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an architectural technician or architectural drafting role.
- Demonstrated experience leading architectural documentation packages on medium to large projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Experience using BIM coordination and clash detection software (such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks or similar).
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary consultant coordination.
- Sound knowledge of Australian construction methods, the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
- Experience with SketchUp and visualisation software is desirable.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative approach with exceptional attention to detail.
