Job Description

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ICT projects within established timeframes and budgets.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with organisational goals.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Identify and address potential risks and issues to minimise project disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with public sector policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage and mentor project teams to achieve high performance and successful outcomes.
• Utilise best practices in ICT project management to deliver quality results.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Principal Project Manager - ICT Should Have

• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale ICT projects within complex organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
• Proven experience managing project budgets, resources, risks and project governance.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Experience leading and motivating cross-functional project teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience working in healthcare, government or other highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of digital transformation, enterprise technology implementations or business system deployments.
• Formal Project Management qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent.
