About the Role

Reporting to the WHS Manager, you will play a key role in supporting Miwatj Health’s, Safety and Wellbeing strategy. You’ll work closely with leaders and staff to create a safe, healthy and compliant workplace through strong systems, education, and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll influence safety culture, support risk management and contribute to meaningful outcomes across remote and regional settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain WHS systems, policies and compliance frameworks
  • Facilitate risk assessments (including psychosocial risks) and mitigation strategies
  • Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Deliver WHS training, inductions and awareness initiatives
  • Support workers compensation and return-to-work programs
  • Monitor, analyse and report on WHS data and trends
  • Build strong relationships and provide practical safety advice across the organisation

About You

  • Experience in a WHS advisory or coordination role
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles
  • Experience in incident investigation and injury management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to deliver training and influence positive safety behaviours
  • Ideally experience in the Health sector and / or working remotely in an NT context
  • High attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or related discipline)
  • Current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
  • National Police Check
  • Manual Driver’s license
