Opportunity for a practitioner (1-5 years' PQE) to join our Brisbane Insurance team focusing on public liability, CTP, and general insurance matters.

The Role
A career opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer or Associate (1-5 years' PQE) to join our Insurance team in Brisbane. In this role you will be working with David Slatyer and his team across a range of insurance advisory and litigation matters, including public liability, CTP, and general insurance.
Responsibilities will include the following
File management including meeting deadlines and managing documents;
Reviewing evidence and preparing advices on indemnity, liability and quantum;
Communicating with clients both in writing and verbally;
Identifying issues, briefing experts and analysing opinion;
Preparing court documents, including defences and affidavit evidence;
Preparing for, managing online processes and appearing in Court. This includes attending settlement conferences and mediations; and
Briefing and liaising with counsel.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have the following
Between 1-5 years' PQE with insurance work, ideally from a defendant law firm
Strong advocacy skills with the ability to assess complex cases effectively
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Excellent communication skills with a strong client service focus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with experience in managing conflicting priorities
Excellent attention to detail
