Are you an experienced Service Technician with a strong background in air compressors?

We are seeking a highly skilled technician to join a leading industrial organisation servicing customers across manufacturing, heavy industry, mining, utilities, and critical infrastructure sectors. This is a specialist field-based position focused on the servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of centrifugal air compressor systems.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys complex fault-finding, working independently, and building strong customer relationships while delivering high-level technical support.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for servicing and supporting centrifugal air compressor systems across a diverse customer base.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Planned maintenance and preventative servicing on centrifugal air compressors
• Fault finding and breakdown response
• Mechanical repairs and overhauls
• Performance testing and commissioning
• Technical support and customer consultation
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
• Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience servicing and maintainin air compressors
• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitter & Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Electromechanical Trade or similar
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working within industrial or manufacturing environments
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a field service environment

Highly Regarded

• Experience with high-speed rotating equipment
• Compressor control systems experience
• Commissioning and performance testing experience
• Exposure to compressed air system audits and optimisation
