This is a true generalist HR Advisor role with strong emphasis on ER/IR and operational HR. You will partner closely with General Managers and operational leaders across seven Australian business units, providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice in a high‑volume, blue‑collar environment.

This role suits someone who enjoys being in the detail, thrives on complex employee relations matters, and is confident advising leaders in a demanding industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders on all ER/IR matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations, and terminations
  • Interpret and apply Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and Fair Work legislation with confidence and consistency
  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for blue‑collar and white‑collar roles, including apprenticeship and traineeship programs
  • Support and mentor HR team members, contributing to capability uplift across the function
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Payroll, Operations and HSE
  • Support injury management and workers compensation matters as required
  • Contribute to HR projects, including the upcoming enterprise management system implementation
  • Travel periodically across NSW, VIC and QLD to support the broader business (approximately quarterly)

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a HR Advisor / HR Generalist role
  • Strong ER/IR background, with hands‑on experience in performance management, disciplinary processes and investigations (this makes up the majority of the role)
  • Blue‑collar industry experience (manufacturing, transport, construction or similar)
  • Proven ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements independently
  • Confidence working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume operational environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong organization, resilience and time‑management skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle, with willingness to travel interstate

Systems Experience:

  • MS Office
  • HRIS / employee data systems (UKG experience highly regarded)
  • Injury management and payroll‑adjacent systems
  • Exposure to enterprise or HR system implementations will be highly valued
