Join a growing technology team as a Senior Systems Engineer, delivering Level 3 technical support and leading infrastructure projects across Microsoft, cloud, networking and cyber security environments. You’ll troubleshoot complex issues, mentor junior engineers, and build trusted client relationships while delivering high-quality IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 technical support across server, cloud, networking and end-user environments.
- Design, implement and support IT infrastructure solutions and technical projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, systems and network issues.
- Monitor, maintain and optimise client environments to ensure performance, availability and security.
- Act as the technical escalation point for high-priority incidents and complex service requests.
- Configure, administer and support Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, identity services and backup solutions.
- Assist with the design and implementation of secure network and infrastructure architectures.
- Deliver projects on time while ensuring quality, documentation and compliance with best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders by providing exceptional technical support and advice.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, system configurations and operational procedures.
- Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing and coaching.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, security and service delivery.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Skills And Qualifications
- Proficient in using assembling, troubleshooting and maintaining Personal Computing Hardwares, such as desktops and laptops;
- Microsoft Personal Computer Operating Systems, including installation, configuration and administrative tasks;
- Microsoft Server Operating Systems, including deploying and managing Window’s Server Environments, and effective management of Active Directory;
- Microsoft 365 Microsoft Suite, such as Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Entra ID & Teams.
- Understanding of core Microsoft SaaS based applications such as Entra ID, Azure, Purview, Defender;
- Extensive experience using WatchGuard product stack;
- Extensive experience using Veeam data protection applications;
- Knowledgeable in Network Server Hardwares;
- Proficient in utilising Performance Monitoring and Diagnostic Tools;
- Extensive knowledge in implementing and managing Firewall & Network Security Systems;
- Extensive understanding of zero-trust networks and concepts;
- Familiarity with PC Business Application Software tools;
- Possesses a fundamental understanding of Transport Protocol Concepts;
- Familiarity with Local Area Networks (LAN) at the Infrastructure Level;
- Experience in configuring and maintaining LAN Communication Hardware, i.e., routers, switches and access points;
- Experience using internal/external communication systems, including telephone, conferencing, live chats and inbound or outbound enquiry management platforms;
- Knowledge of infrastructure back-up best practices;
- Familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) Concepts at the Infrastructure Level;
- Familiarity with Internet Software Tools & Protocols;
- Possesses fundamental knowledge in IT Security principles, such as risk assessment, threat mitigation and compliance;
- Has experience in integrating various IT systems and applications;
- Current and valid drivers licence.
