The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the following:
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements, statutory accounts and reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage reconciliations of key accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for various departments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and systems.
- Provide analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
- Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors as required.
A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
- Formal qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and principles.
- Audit experience his highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Clear and concise communication skills for collaboration across teams.
