Our client is seeking a proactive

Procurement Officer to join a well-established regional organisation where your expertise will directly support essential services, infrastructure projects, and operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Managing procurement activities in line with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
• Coordinating inventory and stock management processes
• Building strong relationships with suppliers, procurement partners, and internal stakeholders
• Supporting tendering, RFQ and EOI processes
• Delivering procurement guidance and training to staff across the organisation
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and achieve value for money
• Ensuring the timely supply of materials and services to support operational delivery

What we're looking for

• Certificate IV in Procurement (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 4 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, stores, or supply chain environments
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, probity, and contract management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to balance competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with high levels of integrity and accountability
• Current Class C Driver Licence

Highly regarded

• Experience within local government or a similar regulated environment
• Tendering and contract administration experience
• Budget management exposure
• Knowledge of inventory control and asset disposal processes
