Accountant

This role plays an important role in ensuring the financial systems, processes and documentation, financial reporting and analysis are well maintained to ensure compliance and prove times, accurate information as required.

Reporting to the Interim Director of Finance, the Accountant will;

• Assist with all finance journals, reporting, accounts payables and receivables, payroll and purchasing in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure all finance policies and procedures are maintained and are up to date
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports and interpretation/analysis to stakeholders
• Assist with the annual budget preparation process Back up for payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Undertake other role related duties as per position description and as assigned my reporting manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Experience in an accounting role (1-3 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and Tax.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to be self-directed.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail.
• Aptitude for navigating new software.
