We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer who can support our clients ongoing capital and site execution projects. The core of this role will focus on project execution, contractor management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring compliance with our clients Quality and HSE standards. The ideal candidate will be a s elf starter, demonstrate at least 5 years experience in a similar role and work as a solutions focused member of the team as a whole.

Primary Roles And Responsibility

  • Site project execution - Support end‑to‑end delivery of capital and infrastructure works at the Suttontown manufacturing site.
  • Contractor coordination - Supervise contractors, ensure compliance with scope, permits, and daily work plans.
  • Quality & HSE compliance - Ensure all works meet Quality, Food Safety, and HSE standards, including safe work permits and risk assessments.
  • Project scheduling - Track daily progress, identify delays, and escalate risks to maintain timelines.
  • Budget adherence - Assist in monitoring project costs, verifying contractor claims, and preventing scope creep.
  • Stakeholder coordination - Liaise with production, maintenance, QA, HSE, and external vendors for seamless execution.
  • Technical documentation - Prepare and maintain drawings, change logs, red lines, and commissioning records.
  • Project handover - Support commissioning, validation, and structured handover to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Daily site supervision - Ensure work fronts are safe, resourced, and aligned with approved plans.
  • Permit-to-work compliance - Coordinate permits, isolation's, and JSA reviews with contractors and HSE.
  • Risk identification - Flag technical, safety, and schedule risks early and support mitigation actions.
  • Material & equipment readiness - Verify availability of materials, tools, and equipment before execution.
  • Vendor communication - Support procurement and vendor follow-ups for timely delivery of project components.
  • Continuous improvement - Recommend improvements to execution processes, contractor performance, and site coordination.
  • Reporting & updates - Provide daily/weekly progress reports, highlight issues, and maintain project dashboards.

To Be Successful You Will Need To Demonstrate

  • Tertiary or professional qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years years experience within a similar role - manufacturing and/or FMCG experience highly valued
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Be a proactive team member with a dynamic and committed work ethic
