Procurement & Contract Officer

Our client is seeking Procurement Support Officers and Procurement Advisors (APS5/APS6 equivalent) to join a high-performing procurement team supporting one of Australia's most respected Federal organisations. The work directly contributes to critical operational, corporate and strategic initiatives that help protect communities and deliver essential public services.

Melbourne or Sydney | NV1 Clearance required | 12 months + view to extend 24 months | Australian Citizenship A Must

This is an opportunity to work on diverse and meaningful procurement activities while working alongside experienced procurement practitioners in a collaborative and professional environment.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting end-to-end procurement activities
• Developing procurement documentation and sourcing plans
• Assisting with RFQs, tenders and evaluation processes
• Conducting market research and supplier engagement
• Preparing reports, approvals and contract documentation
• Building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Government procurement
• Understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Attention to detail and sound judgement
• A collaborative, customer-focused approach
