The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced
Manufacturing Supervisor to join a growing Australian engineering and manufacturing business on the Gold Coast.
With significant investment underway, new product launches and continued business growth, we're looking for a hands-on leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of a modern manufacturing workshop. This is a role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example, solving problems and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and on time.
You'll be responsible for coordinating work across multiple manufacturing disciplines, including CNC machining, fabrication, assembly and powder coating, while supporting a close-knit team and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
About the Role As the Manufacturing Supervisor, you'll take ownership of daily workshop operations and ensure jobs move efficiently from planning through to completion.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading and supporting a small manufacturing team.
- Planning and coordinating daily production activities to meet customer deadlines.
- Allocating labour, equipment and workshop resources to maximise productivity.
- Monitoring workflow and removing production bottlenecks.
- Working closely with engineering and estimating teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the workshop.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
About You
We're looking for a practical manufacturing leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working alongside their team.
To Be Successful You'll Ideally Have
- A trade qualification in fabrication, machining, fitting or another manufacturing trade.
- Previous experience leading or supervising manufacturing or workshop teams.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflow.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to make decisions quickly and keep production moving.
- A positive, hands-on leadership style with strong communication skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, organised and productive workplace.
- Experience working within CNC manufacturing environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Exposure to ERP or production management systems is beneficial, although full training will be provided.
