We are looking for a commercially minded Commercial Analyst – Operations to join our Finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational performance, manufacturing costing, inventory management and business reporting across our operations.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Commercial Manager - Operations, you'll be responsible for providing commercial and financial support to manufacturing operations through detailed analysis, reporting and cost management.

  • Costing & Commercial Analysis - Manage product costing, quotations and BOM maintenance analysing product profitability and manufacturing performance. Monitor inventory valuation, PPV reporting and costing accuracy
  • Operational Performance Reporting - Deliver weekly manufacturing performance reporting and variance analysis identifying key performance drivers and budget variances. Provide insights to support continuous improvement
  • Inventory & Financial Control - Complete monthly inventory, WIP and stock valuation reconciliations monitoring manufacturing variances and inventory performance. Ensure accurate inventory-related financial reporting
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Compliance - Support budgeting, forecasting and annual planning activities and assist with audits, statutory reporting and ABS submissions
  • Business Partnership - Partner with Operations to drive informed decision-making providing financial support and insights to production teams. Build strong relationships across Finance, Operations and Supply Chain functions

What you bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, operational finance or commercial analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
  • A proactive, commercially focused mindset
