Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor site crews to safely deliver high-quality drainage projects.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations while adapting to changing project priorities.
  • Promote excellence in safety, quality, environmental compliance, and project delivery.
  • Interpret civil and drainage plans and oversee accurate site execution.
  • Maintain daily project documentation, including site diaries, inspections, and ITPs.
  • Conduct pre-start meetings and toolbox talks to keep teams informed and engaged.
  • Develop and mentor team members to build long-term capability.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.

About You

  • Extensive experience as a Civil Drainage Supervisor
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater, sewer, water mains, earthworks, and underground services.
  • Proven ability to coordinate plant, operators, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Solid understanding of civil construction methods, compaction/testing, drainage equipment, pipe laying, excavation, lasers, and grade setting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Genuine commitment to workplace safety.
  • Relevant trade qualifications (Plumber/Drainer Tradesperson) are highly regarded.
  • Schedule 26 certification is highly regarded.
  • PVC pipe-laying accreditation or poly-welding ticket is desirable but not essential.
