Human Resources Specialist

HR Specialist | Contract (3 Months, View to Permanent) | Melbourne

Medical One, a multi-site primary care group with 13 clinics across VIC, NSW, and SA, is looking for a HR Specialist to join us on an initial 3-month contract — with strong potential to move into a permanent role.

Reporting directly to the COO, you'll be the HR practitioner in the business, owning HR operations end-to-end across all sites: employee/GP Contractor lifecycle, award interpretation, and employee relations, while advising Practice Managers and Area Managers directly.

This is a hands-on, standalone role — ideal for someone who thrives with autonomy and doesn't need a team around them to get things done.

What you'll need

5+ years' generalist HR experience

Strong working knowledge of the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (MA000027) Experience managing complex ER matters — investigations, show cause, performance management, terminations

Fair Work Commission experience

WorkCover and return-to-work experience

Strong written skills — confident drafting HR correspondence independently

Extremely organized with high attention to detail

Nice to have: healthcare/multi-site experience, understanding of GP contractor arrangements.
