The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a small portfolio of shopping centres.

Working closely with the broader Centre Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring each asset is maintained to a high standard, remains compliant, and delivers a safe and positive experience for retailers, customers, and stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Operations, Facilities, or Maintenance Manager looking to take ownership of a diverse portfolio while working directly for a landlord.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all hard and soft services across the portfolio
• Oversee contractor engagement, inductions, and performance
• Drive preventative and reactive maintenance programs
• Ensure compliance with all WHS, risk, and statutory requirements
• Assist in the preparation and management of OPEX and CAPEX budgets
• Coordinate minor works and capital projects
• Support tenancy coordination and retailer works
• Build strong relationships with contractors, retailers, and internal stakeholders

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in retail property, shopping centres, commercial property, or a similar environment
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, or operations management
• Strong understanding of WHS, compliance, and risk management
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Financial and reporting literacy
• The ability to prioritise competing demands and work autonomously
• Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, or a trade background (highly regarded)
• A genuine passion for retail property
