Lawyer / Associate | Construction / Infrastructure Law 1-3 years PAE
Merlehan Group is currently recruiting for a Lawyer / Associate with 1-3 years PAE to join our team providing legal services to construction project owners and contractors throughout Australia, located at its Brisbane office.
Merlehan Group is a specialist law and business advisory firm in Australia, founded by a former top tier law firm partner, with particular speciality in the legal and commercial support to major construction and infrastructure projects throughout Australia. Our client base includes numerous large project owners, government business and contractors with experience in a diverse range of development, infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide services including but not limited to:
- Performing detailed and high quality research;
- Drafting clear, concise and professional correspondence and documentation;
- Attending client meetings with senior colleagues;
- Collaborating with colleagues to identify and address complex legal issues; and
- Assisting with business development initiatives.
This role will involve a combination of front-end advisory and contract drafting, and back-end dispute resolution work.
Qualifications
A law degree, admission as a legal practitioner in Australia and a right to work in Australia are required qualifications for this role.
The ideal candidate
This role would suit someone with 1-3 years PAE with prior experience and a keen interest in the area of construction / infrastructure law.
