Financial Data Analyst / Developer

• 12-month contract to 30 June 2027
• Build modern Power BI reporting solutions
• Influence finance reporting automation strategy

Join a Finance Transformation team focused on delivering data-driven insights across the business. You will develop and enhance analytical solutions that improve reporting, automation, and decision-making. Working closely with Finance and Technology stakeholders, you will help uplift data capability and reporting efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models that deliver clear financial insights and support decision-making across Finance
• Use SQL, DAX, and Power Query to transform and model data into scalable reporting solutions aligned with automation goals
• Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide data-driven recommendations that improve outcomes
• Build financial reports and analytics that support planning, forecasting, and cost optimisation initiatives
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and timely refresh of reporting outputs across Finance systems
• Contribute to increasing data literacy across Finance by sharing knowledge and supporting best practice approaches

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience with SQL, DAX, Power Query, and advanced Power BI data modelling to deliver scalable reporting solutions
• Proven ability to build financial reports, ideally within financial services or a complex corporate environment
• Experience engaging stakeholders and using data insights to influence reporting design and automation strategies
• High level of data literacy across Finance, with the ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Experience working with large data sets and applying governance principles to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Exposure to Oracle tools or finance platforms is desirable, with a willingness to expand technical capability
