- This role is based at IKEA Canberra.
- As our store operates 7 days a week, availability to work a rotating roster including day, evening and alternating weekend shifts is required.

Team vision (text) As Hospitality Team Leader, you will lead the daily operations and commercial performance of IKEA Food, creating an environment where both customers and co-workers thrive.
You will be responsible for inspiring and developing your team while ensuring operational excellence, food safety compliance and strong commercial outcomes across our restaurant, bistro, Swedish Food Market and co-worker restaurant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team in a fast-paced, high-volume food environment.
- Creating an engaging team culture focused on customer satisfaction, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Driving sales, profitability and productivity by identifying opportunities to improve performance and grow the food business.
- Monitoring operational KPIs including customer experience, food quality, food costs, waste management and labour efficiency.
- Ensuring all food safety, HACCP and compliance standards are maintained and embedded throughout the team.
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience by ensuring food areas are clean, inviting, well-stocked and ready for trade.
- Contributing to local commercial activities, merchandising initiatives and seasonal campaigns that drive visitation and sales.
- Supporting and leading change initiatives, helping your team adapt and succeed in a dynamic environment.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the store to contribute to overall business success.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience leading teams within hospitality, food service, quick-service restaurants (QSR), cafés, catering or other high-volume food environments.
- A proven ability to motivate, coach and develop team members to achieve outstanding customer experiences.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing sales, productivity, labour and food costs.
- Experience maintaining food safety standards and operational compliance within a food business.
- A customer-first mindset and the ability to see the business through the eyes of the customer.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Resilience, adaptability and a positive approach to change.
- A passion for food, people and creating a great workplace culture.
