Join St John of God Burwood Hospital, a leading 95-bed private mental health facility delivering specialised inpatient, day patient and outpatient services. Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health nurses and allied health professionals provide personalised, recovery-focused care to support meaningful outcomes for every individual.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Mental Health Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care and support to individuals across a range of mental health presentations. The position is available on a full-time basis working day shifts, with part-time opportunities also available for the right candidate.
The Position
- Providing nursing care in keeping with the Registered Nurse classification.
- Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the day to day mental health and basic physical care requirements of patients.
- Participate in mental health assessments, risk assessment and management, alcohol and other drug assessments, history taking and developing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Ensure patients receive the highest level of care and treatment in line with contemporary clinical nursing practice.
- Ensure confidentiality for patients and that their personal information is maintained at all times.
- Ensure hospital policies, procedures and standards are adhered to and demonstrated through work practices.
You will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with recent mental health nursing experience and a demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits
- Salary $75,381 to $105,865 (pro rata basis if part time) plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week.
