Senior Technology Project Manager

Davidson Technology Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Technology Project Manager to provide delivery and governance support across a complex technology workstream.

Working closely with technology leaders, project teams, business stakeholders and delivery partners, you will coordinate activities spanning data migration, data retention and system decommissioning. The role requires someone who can combine detailed program control with the judgement and executive presence needed to drive decisions, resolve delivery issues and maintain momentum.

The opportunity

You will support the Technology Workstream within a large-scale transformation program, maintaining clear oversight of plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and decisions.

The role will suit a senior project or program manager who is comfortable working across complex technical environments, facilitating senior governance forums and turning detailed technology information into clear recommendations and executive materials.

Key responsibilities

· Coordinate the planning and delivery of the Technology Workstream.

· Maintain integrated program and project plans, including baseline-versus-actual tracking.

· Monitor milestones, critical dependencies, schedule pressures and delivery impacts.

· Establish and maintain RAID logs, action registers and decision logs.

· Facilitate governance forums, working groups and delivery meetings.

· Prepare agendas, meeting packs, minutes and executive status reports.

· Drive risks, issues, decisions and actions through to resolution.

· Facilitate workshops to resolve delivery problems and confirm accountabilities.

· Coordinate activities across data, applications, infrastructure, security, operations and business teams.

· Support data migration, data retention, transition and system decommissioning activities.

· Draft technology decision papers, executive points of view and approval materials.

· Present detailed technology matters clearly to senior stakeholders and governance committees.

About you

· 8-12+ years experience managing complex, large-scale technology programs or projects.

· Demonstrated experience in banking, financial services or another highly regulated environment.

· Strong experience with data migration, data retention or system decommissioning initiatives.

· Proven program governance capability, including senior forums, decision logs, action tracking and reporting.

· Experience maintaining integrated plans and tracking baseline performance against actual delivery.

· Strong risk, issue, assumption and dependency management capability.

· The ability to identify delivery problems, facilitate resolution and drive actions to closure.

· Experience preparing executive papers, approval materials and technology recommendations.

· Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and written communication skills.

· Executive presence and the ability to translate complex technical information for senior audiences.

· Availability to work regularly with teams and stakeholders in Brisbane.

Nice to have

· Previous consulting or professional services experience.

· Experience supporting major transformation, integration, separation or regulatory programs.

· Familiarity with technology cutover, transition and operational readiness.

· Experience working with third-party vendors and delivery partners.

· PRINCE2, PMP, MSP or an equivalent program or project management qualification.
