Data Project Manager

• Contract: 6-Month Contract
• Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid Working)
• Rate: circa $100 per hour including super

We are seeking an experienced Data Project Manager to join a major enterprise transformation program within a leading Australian financial services organisation.

This role will focus on delivering complex data, infrastructure and testing environment initiatives, working across multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes from planning through to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data and technical project streams
• Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, risks and dependencies
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, testing teams, business analysts and vendors
• Drive environment uplift, application onboarding and integration activities
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and align business and technology teams
• Provide clear reporting on project health, milestones, risks, issues and financials
• Ensure governance, compliance and delivery standards are met

The successful candidate

• Proven Project Management experience delivering complex technical or data projects
• Experience working within large enterprise transformation programs
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, architecture diagrams and system flows
• Experience managing infrastructure deployments and application integrations
• Strong risk, issue and financial management capability
• Excellent communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced environments

Nice to Have

• Banking or financial services experience
• Test environment management experience
• Data platform, API and systems integration experience
• Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery experience
• Jira, Confluence and MS Project experience
• Comfortable working in complex and evolving environments
