About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst to join our high-performing team in Sydney on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential to transition to a permanent position.
In this pivotal role, you will act as a key commercial partner to both the NSW Finance Lead and the National Corporate Services team. This is an ideal position for an established finance professional looking to leverage their expertise and exercise true autonomy in a dynamic corporate environment.
The Opportunity
- Manage and oversee monthly journals, income trackers, cost allocations, and revenue reporting, ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance.
- Produce comprehensive payroll reports, deliver sophisticated P&L commentary, and conduct deep-dive revenue and expense analyses to uncover trends and business efficiencies.
- Business partner with key stakeholders to lead the collection of forecast and budget inputs, while preparing and loading robust rolling forecasts and annual budgets.
- Utilise advanced AI-based technologies and BI tools to deliver innovative financial solutions and process efficiencies.
- Build influential working relationships across corporate services, translating complex financial data into actionable operational drivers to improve business performance.
About You
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and be fully CA/CPA qualified, or in the final stages of completion.
- Bring proven, demonstrated work experience in a corporate finance or commercial accounting role.
- Possess advanced Excel capabilities, with prior experience navigating complex financial systems such as PeopleSoft, BI tools or TM1 highly advantageous.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to confidently present financial insights and partner with senior leadership.
- Demonstrate the ability to explain financial drivers to non-finance stakeholders in a way that is clear, commercial and drives decision-making.
- Act as a proactive, analytical problem-solver who thrives on ownership and works effectively with minimal supervision.
