The National Account Manager role is driving the commercial success of assigned customers within the retail channel. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, developing joint business opportunities, and executing customer strategies that deliver growth for consumers, customers, and Ferrero. Working cross-functionally with cross-functional teams, this position plays a key role in achieving business objectives while ensuring best-in-class customer management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of assigned customer accounts
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Identify and deliver growth opportunities that create value for both the customer and Ferrero
- Support senior sales leadership in strategic customer engagement initiatives
- Execute customer business strategies aligned with Ferrero's commercial objectives
- Develop and implement account plans that deliver sustainable growth
- Contribute to joint business planning and customer development activities
- Negotiate promotional agreements, pricing initiatives, activation programs, and commercial opportunities
- Lead customer discussions regarding cost price adjustments when required
- Achieve mutually beneficial outcomes through collaborative negotiation
- Deliver accurate customer forecasts to support supply chain and business planning processes
- Manage trade investment budgets responsibly and ensure accurate financial administration
- Support effective trade spend management and reporting activities
- Develop clear activation briefs and ensure successful execution of customer programs in market
- Ensure alignment across internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
- Monitor business performance and customer results
- Prepare and deliver regular business reports and insights
- Use sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and support decision-making
About You:
- University degree in Business or related field
- Experience in FMCG sales, key account management, customer development, or commercial roles
- Experience managing retail customers and delivering commercial growth outcomes
- Exposure to forecasting, promotional planning, and trade investment management
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, commercial mindset with strong negotiation capabilities
- Analytical and data-driven approach to decision making
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
