The Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing cloud and platform engineering team.

This is a hands-on role focused on building, automating, securing, and managing enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. You will play a key role in delivering Infrastructure as Code (IaC), supporting platform onboarding, automating operational processes, and ensuring environments remain secure, scalable, and reliable.

The ideal candidate will bring strong cloud infrastructure experience, a passion for automation, and a proven track record of supporting modern platforms using Terraform, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Python.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments across production and non-production platforms.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, scaling, and decommissioning activities.

Build and maintain environment management and automation tooling using Python.

Manage environment configuration, integrations, access controls, and platform connectivity requirements.

Support onboarding of new teams and workloads, including IAM provisioning, security controls, connectivity, and access management.

Implement and maintain security, compliance, governance, and infrastructure hardening standards.

Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, QA, security, and operations teams to support delivery and release activities.

Support cloud infrastructure services across Google Cloud Platform and hybrid environments.

Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive reliability improvements.

Support networking requirements including firewall rules, routing, proxy configurations, and secure data transfer mechanisms.

Maintain infrastructure documentation, environment standards, operational procedures, and topology diagrams.

Contribute to infrastructure modernisation, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.

Support event-driven and integration platforms, including messaging, SFTP, and platform connectivity solutions.

What You'll Need

Experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a similar role.

Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Experience designing and supporting cloud environments across GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Composer, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Artifact Registry, and Secret Manager.

Experience developing automation solutions using Python.

Experience supporting platform onboarding, IAM, access management, security controls, and connectivity requirements.

Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.

Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.

Strong knowledge of networking concepts including firewall rules, routing, proxy configurations, environment isolation, and secure connectivity.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.

Experience with Kafka, Confluent Kafka, event-driven architectures, or enterprise integration platforms.

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerised environments.

Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Pulumi.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
