Working closely with the Board, staff, volunteers, members, government stakeholders and community partners, you will lead the organisation's strategic direction while ensuring strong operational performance and sustainable growth.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and delivering organisational objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with government, industry and community stakeholders
  • Leading a high-performing workforce and volunteer network
  • Ensuring strong governance, risk management and compliance frameworks
  • Driving financial sustainability and organisational performance
  • Championing continuous improvement, innovation and community impact

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a balance of strategic thinking, commercial acumen and authentic people leadership.

About You

You are an experienced executive leader with a track record of leading complex organisations, business units or significant functions.

You will bring:

  • Experience working effectively with Boards and senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • A demonstrated ability to lead organisational change and drive improvement
  • The ability to inspire, develop and support high-performing teams

Experience within aged care, health, community services or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded, however candidates from other sectors with transferable leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

Why Join Meals on Wheels Tasmania?

For more than 70 years, Meals on Wheels has supported communities through a commitment to care, connection and independence.

The organisation is built on strong values, a dedicated workforce and an extensive volunteer network that delivers meaningful outcomes for older Tasmanians every day.
